Dear Pilates Philosophers!

Join us for a week of philosophy, discussion, training and relaxation on beautiful Symi Island. After attending many conferences in the last year we got progressively more frustrated: who on earth needs to pay for one more class in which we are presented with the umpteenth exercise modification for small Pilates apparatus? Squeeze the fitness circle between your little toe and the fourth toe, anyone?

So, we designed the workshop that we kept dreaming about. There will be Pilates mat classes everyday along with lectures on philosophy and communication. Our discussion focus throughout the week will be Manual Therapies: Alexander Technique, Bowen Therapy, Meditation and Manual Release Technique will be studied, experienced and their applicability to Pilates teaching proposed. A special lecture for studio management will close our retreat followed by a discussion to give us all fresh ideas for the "real world".

Private treatment sessions with therapists and teachers can be booked ahead of time for some well deserved body work on yourself.

There will also be plenty of time for walks, for the beach, for reading, listening to music, for being alone or together. We also very much hope that those of you who will join us are open to sharing your expertise, thoughts and dreams:under the stars:during those warm Greek summer nights.
